It is Avigail’s vast experience as a professional performer, Director & musician that I believe gives her invaluable skills as an educator.
Associate Musical Director (Jersey Boys, Wicked, Avenue Q, Billy Elliot, Mamma Mia!)
The workshop was ground breaking for me and hopefully the ideas we got from it will provide a leap in the quality of our performances. The most worthwhile workshop I’ve attended in a long time!
I found it very attention grabbing and thought she presented in a highly focused way. At the end I felt very tired – in the best possible way, without any voice strain – and I was amazed at the difference in our sound when we did as she suggested.
Avigail is a dynamic teacher & I really felt like she tried to bring out our best & challenge us.

She can take her audience from laughter with one song to tears in another, purely by the detail and passion in her voice.
Director of Protocol & Parade Sochi Olympic games, Associate Director Pan American Games…
For sheer presence and style the night belonged to Avigail Herman
She is astonishingly versatile, ranging in vocal command from the smallest, beautifully modulated Streisand-like lyricism to something just short of the raucous Ethel Merman.
It is the blending of technique with dramatic training that makes her teaching unique.
Singer, actor (Wicked, Annie, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Kiss Me Kate…)
There is no question in my mind that Avigail Herman is one of a kind. I’ve never come across nor heard of any other teacher whose Music Theatre theories are so intensive, unique and detailed. Her master classes are unparalleled.
Actor and singer (Wicked, Jekyll & Hyde Asia…)
You learn to treat movement, dance, script, song and lyrics as one and the same
Hi 5
A decade after her first one-woman show she still shines like a diamond; more polished with every outing.
I became aware during the workshop that music has been my primary focus in learning/performing a piece – with lyrics coming a poor second. I discovered that I had lyrics as an inconvenience – no wonder I’ve always struggled to memorise them.
To this day, every class and rehearsal I have shared with Avigail has been not only a learning experience but also a moment of inspiration for me as a performing arts practitioner and a lover of performance.
Director of Protocol & Parade Sochi Olympic games, Associate Director Pan American Games…
Avigail was nothing short of brilliant. She brought the music, lyrics and character alive and gave our repertoire so much more depth and richness. Thank you Avigail for sharing your incredible talent with us!

Unlike most educators, Avigail is equally skilled as an actor and a musician so she teaches from the angle of a Director and a Musical Director. These classes are actually the best professional development courses I have ever attended.
Musical Director (Les Miserables 2014, Mary Poppins…)
The Course was great, definitely confronting in a good challenging way. Avigail gives you the space to empower yourself & take on board her objective, useful feedback & advice.

Even now after many years working professionally, I have never met anyone who demands more from those under her tutelage. This is also why she gets results unlike anyone else.

Avigail is fantastic – would really like working with her again – her approach landed very well with me.
The most amazing thing about this is that not only does she empower you as a performer, but more importantly she provides you with the tools to continue to empower yourself, to seek and find your own knowledge, and to never stop growing.
